Film: Alexander Hamilton
One of America’s most controversial founding fathers, Hamilton, serving as first Secretary of the Treasury, led the transformation of a young country into a commercial and industrial powerhouse that includes a sophisticated banking system, Wall Street, and an “opportunity society” in which talent and hard work – not birth – determine success. This film reveals the story of his life and career marked by a stunning rise to power, scandal and tragedy.
Produced by PBS, starring Tony Award-winning actor Brian O’Byrne.
2007, 2 hours; documentary, not rated.
