Biography:
|
When I discover a subject that either entertains, informs, or inspires, my creative adventure begins. The opportunities for personal expression and the possibilities of connecting with the viewer are exciting and very fulfilling.
For their energy, texture and reflected light, I prefer oils. I enjoy the challenge of composing a still life setup and I like doing a landscape for the visual vacation that it offers for both me and the viewer. And, recently, I have discovered that capturing the story is one of the advantages of figurative painting. Because I consider the beauty and variety of skin tones absolutely fascinating, I am looking forward to portrait painting in my future studies.
From concept to final, refining brushstrokes, oil painting is not only an artistic and creative process but it is also a technical and complex one. In sports, we play ball, but when we paint, it is referred to as art work. It is a privilege to be a working artist.
