American Art in Miniature is one of Gilcrease Museum’s annual fundraising events that raises money for the Museum’s educational programs and events.

American Art in Miniature exhibition runs October 25 – November 9, 2008. To purchase a piece of art, plan to attend the American Art in Miniature Reception and Art Sale, Thursday, November 6, 2008. On November 6, the Patron Preview begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Silent Auction at 6:30 p.m.

This year American Art in Miniature offers work from by 220 talented artists from across the nation. Prices range from $275 to $6,200. American Art in Miniature 2008 is presented by The F&M Bank & Trust Company.

American Art in Miniature is part of the 2008-2009 Gilcrease Museum Exhibition Season, sponsored by Bank of Oklahoma, H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Charitable Trust, Joe and Kathy Craft Foundation, George Kaiser Family Foundation, Pete and Nancy Meinig, Nadel & Gussman, L.L.C., Samson, The William K. Warren Foundation, The Williams Companies, Inc., and Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation.

All works of art are no larger than 9 by 12 inches unframed. Sculptures are no taller than 12 inches exclusive of base.

The online purchase price reflects the Reserve Price set by the artist. Artworks not sold on November 6, 2008, will be available online at the Reserve Price through November 16, 2008, and may be purchased by calling the Museum Shop at (918) 596-2725 during business hours (10 a.m. – 5 p.m. CDT, Tuesday – Sunday.)

All works are subject to availability. The sale closes November 16, 2008, at 5 p.m. CDT.
